Shoes In the Air, Don't Care

Hey guys,

So this illustration was meant for my Fashion illustration Friday post (yesterday), but I've been busy, and I didn't have a chance to give some art time to myself. Until yesterday, I actually wanted this illustration to be simple, like flat colors, but as I was working on it, I don't know, my intuition told me to go into detail, so I just followed through, and boy I'm sooo glad I did, because I LOVED THE RESULT!!! It's just so cute, and has a retroish kinda feel? I don't know, it just reminded me of those cute retro vintage illustrations, I think it's the colors, the soft blue background, the color of the socks, and the thin outlines of the ink. ^^

By the way, this illustration is based off a picture I found through instagram, Livin Like Larz is the girl behind the picture, and who is also a blogger. I was lookin through her pictures and I came across the shoe/sky picture and just loved it, I thought it was so cute and loved the simplicity of the picture and also the innocence  to it, it has a child like carefree feel, which I love so much ♥
