Interior Space Painting

My oil painting that I'm currently doing for my oil painting class, and it's due the following Friday.
We had to choose a interior space within the art building or like around the art building, and well I choose the .....ummm...it's like a patio? of the art building. I really loved the big window spaces (I don't know the correct word, sorry), and I thought it would make a good composition. ^^

I have a loot of more stuff to add on to the painting, more shadows, details, adding tree branches and then the highlights at the end, a lot of work ahead of me, I hope it won't be frustrating? haha *crosses fingers
So I will be busy alll week doing this painting, and if I finish early, I will DEF. SHOW YOU GUYS! ;D

Black & White Still Life Painting

I'd like to call this painting, Gonna Get My Nails Did ;D

The nail polish at the far end on the right, the black spot is the nail polish brush :D
I love that polish bottle, because of that part
Sooo much fun painting nail polishes! :D

The buffer, I realllly wanted to get the effect of all the scratches on my buffer and I did, and it was fun to do. :D

My mom thought at first  the cotton balls were walnuts....LOL.

This is my 2nd black & white still life painting that I did for my oil painting class, and I did this painting like in April (somewhere around my spring break) and actually left it like the last minute, 2 nights before it was due, and well I hustled, and had no time to be a picky painter and I just had to quickly paint. I only painted this painting for 2 nights, because I had to wait for the evening/night so the room can be dark and that I can turn on my light source and quickly paint away!

For my still life h.w., I didn't want to do the typical veggies and fruits, ugh hate that shit! >.< I realllly wanted to paint something fun and of my interest. So I thought of having a set of nail polishes and supplies as if I'm gonna do my nails and thought it was a fun idea to have a nail polish open and a lil splatter on the paper towel! :D

I really loooove this painting, I had fun with it and SURPRISINGLY IT WAS EASY TO PAINT! Who knew nail polishes would be easy to paint?! I thought it would be hard because of the reflections and I actually had nooo idea the nail polishes were gonna turn out good, because of how quickly I was painting, I thought I was going to do a sucky job, lol, but it was completely opposite and I shocked myself. :D lol

I guess, being LESS PICKY, and just not doing too much thinking and rather going with the flow makes me paint better and surprise myself? Where as, if I do a lot of thinking, I tend to screw something up and then I want to fix my mistake, thinking I'm going to fix it, but I just make matters worse. :/

I enjoyed doing this painting, and over summer I would LOOOOVE to do a COLOR VERSION! I was thinking, maybe I should do a lil collection of nail polishes and me interacting with nail polishes? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to do some painting ideas. :D

My Finished Portrait Painting

I know one eye is bigger than the other :/ lol

Remember how I told you guys in this post, how I might start all over or not on my portrait painting? Welll...I started over with a new canvas, because I was not happy with the first "me portrait".  It didn't look like me, and when I came home, my mom and sister were all like, "THAT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE YOU!" LOL My sister was like mad, and she said, "That's U-G-L-Y, and you're E-L-I-Z-A!" LMAO! She's soo funny and cute, I love her :D
So anyways, I started over, and worked on this painting for 4 days and we weren't allowed to use pictures to paint our faces, we had to use a mirror, and for this painting we used a limited palette in the colors of Titanium WhiteUltramarine Blue, Burnt Umber, Burnt SiennaYellow Ocher, and no black, we had to make our own black.
I worked very hard on this painting, and it was REALLLY FRUSTRATING! To the point, that I almost released my anger on to the canvas.....yikes....lol, by wanting to just poke a hole with my paintbrush. :P I absolutely hated doing my portrait, I had problems with the skin tone, neck area and omgod, who knew the lips would be hard to do.  I was looking forward on doing my lips, and thought it would be easy to do, because I do a good job painting lips with acrylics, and watercolor, but oh man....this was another story! I had a very hard time getting my actual lip color, I couldn't even get a pinky color going on. -.-
The easiest part of doing this painting was doing my hair, that was pretty easy and kind of fun and surprisingly painting my dark gray shirt. :D I love the wrinkles on the right side of the shirt more so than on the left side. :)
Oh! And even though I worked several times on the skin tone, of going back and forth and trying to make it better, I MANAGED TO GET MY BUTTON NOSE!!! :D I WAS VERRRY HAPPY! LOL I was like, I GOT MY NOSE! lol :D  Sooo my portrait painting looks half like me and half not like me but.... at least I my nose came out just like mines! ;D

And let me let you guys know, I have done a  few self portraits in the past before, in pencils, watercolor, acrylics and color pencils, and they ALL TURNED OUT LIKE ME! But this was the only medium, in which my portrait came out looking like half of me, it's hard. :/ I don't think I'll do another self portrait of me, but well...I mean, if I DO, I def. want to make like funny faces and add some fun to it. :D

My April Music Playlist Of The Month!

I NEVER thought I would like K-POP! This song grew on me, and I went from sort of liking it to LOVING IT pretty quickly! LOL. I think it's a cute lil catchy pop song. :) I really like the video, I loove how they dance, and the video of where the girls are dancing in a plain background wearing the black outfits and the way they dance, that part reminded me of Beyonce's video, Put A Ring On It.  I loove all their voices, really nice, and like the lil hip hop part, I think it's cool. :) I also looove their colored polka-dot dresses, sooo coool and fun!

Love Disco Fries, this is a great dance song, I loove the beats, just very upbeat! :D
I also loooooooove the males vocals, soooooo gooood!
I have listened to this song almost everyday, just because I reallly looove the guys vocals ♥

LOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG!! Oh my gosh, loove how it starts, EVERY BIT OF THIS SONG IS SOOO DAMN GOOOD!!! It has a old skool flava of the hip hop rhymes, man, I LOOOVE IT!!!
Loove how NWA rhymes

Looove this song! This is the first time of hearing of this band, and I instantly fell in love with the song! I loove the singers voice and, overall this song is catchy and very fun! :D
I loooove NYLON, they always find great music!

Looove this song, like the guy's voice and how he sings/raps.
I also loove the lil dubstep in the song, really great! :D

This is a FUN SONG! I have no idea what language their speaking in, but still, very fun and energetic, which I looooove, absolutely love the beats! :D Looove Cazzette, they make great music!

LOOOOVE HIS ALBUM EDITION!
I love most of the songs, but my fav songs are, In the air, Where did you go(Looove the singers voice, soo nice :D), Body Work, Video (looove that song sooo much!) and Addicted. I have listened to this album edition EVERYDAY!
Love Morgan Page, and I thought this was verrrry cool for him to do this podcast @ a sneak peek preview of his new album for his fans!

Loove the song, Let Go by Dragonette
Her voice in this song kind of reminds me of Tegan & Sara.

This is suuuch a GROOOOOVEY SONG! ABSOLUTELY LOOVE IT!
It's nice music to chill too, just nice good vibes. :D

Love this song, love the lyrics and indeed it's a FUN SONG! ;D
Also love the slow motion video :)

Grouplooooooove, gotta love them! :D
Such a fun song looove it! I loove the girls part when she rhymes, so fun and cool! :D Oh and I JUST NOTICED her skeleton earrings! HOW AWESOME!

DEAD SARA!!! LOOOOOVE THIS BAND! OH MY GOSH, I remember when I first heard this song on the radio, while doing my painting earlier this month, I was like, WHOOOAAA....WHO IS THIS BAND?! I LOOOOVE HER VOCALS! JUST SOOO DAMN ROCK AND ROLL! And it has been like FOREVER since I heard a reallly good rock and roll band with AMAZING BAD ASS VOCALS, like the lead singer of Dead Sara. I am absolutely in looove with her vocals, it's just amazing! I am glad they were found, because I miss hearing bad ass rock music! :D Totally a new fan!

Another good fun catchy song by Neon Trees, they're pretty good at making catchy songs. ;)

Who hasn't listened to this song?! I loove this song, sooo beautiful, and I also love the video, ELEPHANTS!!! I looove towards the end, when the elephants are reunited at the desert? Sooooo beauuutiful! Ah, I wish I can be there I never saw this video till now, soooo excuse me. :D lol.

GARBAGE!
I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT GARBAGE IS MAKING A COME BACK! I MISS THEM!  And this song, is just sooooo AWESOME!! I LOOOOVE SHIRLEY MANSON'S VOICE! SHE ROCKS! This song is great just like the bands older music, their music style sounds the same to me, which I love, I'm glad they didn't change their style, like you know how some bands they take a break and when they come back together their music style changes....like a bad change O.o, BUT not in the case with GARBAGE! :D

Such an awesome song, I looove Jack's vocals, sooo greaaat!
I loove the part when he sings," Who's jealous, who's jealous, who's jealous of who", SOOO GREAT! :D  I also loooove the guitar play
Loove Jack White!

I heard of this song MONTHS AGO, buuuut...never actually listened to the song until this month!
I actually heard this song, but only like a few seconds of it on soundcloud, and welll...I judged the song, because the singer was singing in a low voice and I was like....is this one of those slow songs? ugh, hate songs like that, soo I ditched the song. Oops, I WAS SOOO DEAD WRONG, AND YES I FELT STUPID FOR QUICKLY JUDGING THE SONG, because now I LOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG! SOOO GOOD! I love the lyrics and my fav part is when Kimbra sings, I loove Kimbra (thanks to Anna's best friend for introducing her to me last yr), love her vocals

Hope you guys enjoy my music playlist of the month!
There's a variety of genre's in this playlist than usual, a lil international, some indie bands, a lil alt.rock, a lil hip hop/rap, a lil dance music, a lil french house, and as always...ELECTRO and dubstep! :D

My First Handmade Friendship Bracelet

All photo's were taken by me

Here is my finished friendship bracelet that I said, I would show you guys in this post.
It was my first time making a friendship bracelet, I never had one of these as a kid. But I would always see girls giving their bestie's these friendship bracelets, and welll....I always wanted one. And I know friendship bracelets made a comeback since last summer, but I have been seeing them all over blogs and other fashion sites and also tutorials, that it made me want to buy my own threads and make my own friendship bracelet! :D I am my own best friend, ^^ and well, my twin sister too, I've got to make one for her as well! :D

I followed a tutorial, by Free People, and surprisingly I catched on quickly! I didn't think I would quickly get it, because, oh boy, I was soooo confused at first. O.o I made the chevron pattern, it's for beginners and it only took me a day to make :) . I started early morning and took a break to do other things and came back to the bracelet and finished it later at night. :D I also, had to add my own lil touch to the bracelet, by adding a chain with my handmade skull made out of sculpey clay. :)  I think it's a tad bit long, and so I'm thinking of making  it a bit shorter. :)

Oh, and I also, want to call this friendship bracelet,  the Baja friendship bracelet, because the colors  remind me of the colorful shorts from Free People. lol.

So what do you guys think of my first handmade friendship bracelet? :)
